One of the best options available when you are experiencing financial limitations or when you are on a mental plateau is setting up a home gym. From a perspective of hygiene, a home gym is better for you. After use, most of gym owners will in most cases leave the machines and equipment not cleaned up. This forces you to clean up the machines before you start your workout or risk exercising with dirty machines. This does not only waste your time but also exposes you to health hazards. Consider how much time you will save every week by not having to get into the car to drive to the gym. Buying the first batch of equipment is not cheap in the beginning but in the long-run it proves to be a much cheaper option. What’s more, you can keep on adding barbells, treadmills and pull-up bars to your home gym. With a free gym in your home, the motivation to work out will automatically present itself.

If you do not have the space to set up a home gym or you are experiencing a financial plateau, a makeshift workout is a great option. You can still work out and get that ripped body without a home gym or going to the local gym. Work out using any item available to you just like people did long ago when there were not gym machines available. You can use a bag filled with books and other heavy items as an effective weight to do squats when do not have barbells. You can also do pull ups from the branches of trees or do inverted push-ups on a staircase to increase the angle. Just like in army training, workout does not have to be with machines in the gym, you can use your body weight to work out. With these, you will be able to keep your motivation high and keep fit on a budget.
